Social &
Sustainability

Doing good. Together.

The topic of social issues and sustainability is firmly anchored in our corporate mission statement. Together with our employees, we strive to improve "people, animals and the environment" as a core component of our corporate philosophy.

THE CLOWN DOCTORS see themselves as comrades to "their" little patients. By involving them in their jokes, they support and encourage the healthy, playful side of the children, activate their self-healing powers and thus support medical therapy through the power of humor. The playful care provided by the clown doctors, who always plan their visits in close coordination with the hospital's medical nursing staff, takes some of the seriousness out of the hospital stay with improvisations, puppetry, music and pantomime. Since 2009, the clowns have also regularly visited people in retirement and nursing homes. Further information can be found at www.clown-doktoren.de.

Synergy from "Help, Heal, Research"

The "Frankfurt Foundation for Children with Cancer" was founded in 1994 by the association "Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt e.V.". To this day, the foundation's board of directors is identical to the association's board, which is made up of affected parents. This personal connection between the association and the foundation ensures that both institutions can dedicate themselves specifically to their task of "helping children with cancer".

Help for the integration of refugees

Supporting socially disadvantaged people has been a particular concern of ours since the company was founded in 2005. This is why we support the "Herzlich Ankommen!" initiative of the Frankfurt am Main Workers' Welfare Association, a project to promote a welcoming culture through volunteer work for unaccompanied children and young people as well as adults in the city's refugee centers.

Dedicated professionals, educators and advocates work on a voluntary basis in the areas of culture, sport and education to ensure the integration of refugees and their education.

The regional project, which was launched with the aim of setting a nationwide precedent, has made it: "Herzlich Ankommen!" will be implemented nationwide in 2016. "Herzlich Ankommen" is part of the AWO federal project, which is funded by the Federal Association of Non-statutory Welfare. The overall project serves to coordinate, qualify and promote volunteer support for refugees.

My dad reads aloud! ("Mein Papa liest vor!")

With 'Mein Papa liest vor!', the Hessenstiftung 'familie hat zukunft' foundation, together with the Stiftung Lesen foundation, has launched an initiative with a nationwide model character. The offer is aimed at an important target group for early reading promotion, namely parents, and, with many companies as partners, provides impetus for a family-friendly working culture.

This workplace service gives employees easy, uncomplicated and free access to suitable stories to read aloud. We want to support them in making reading with their children an integral part of their everyday lives.

The foundation is committed to supporting children and young people, education and upbringing, sport and international understanding. It supports projects, events and facilities as well as awarding scholarships, grants and promoting training and further education. Further information about the foundation can be found at www.bc-stiftung.de.

A cell phone for the gorilla

Unused mobile phones no longer gather dust in drawers, but are used for a good cause. To this end, collection boxes were set up for einsAmobile employees and for customers at participating partners.

The principle is very simple: Frankfurt Zoological Society (ZGF) collects used cell phones and receives money from its recycling partner Teqcycle for each old device. This money goes 100% towards the ZGF's global conservation projects for the preservation of habitats and biodiversity.

The old cell phones are broken down into their individual components and recycled. The recycled materials are thus available again as a valuable raw material for the production of new devices. Recycled raw materials no longer have to be mined and valuable living space is preserved. This creates a sustainable cycle.
